Beach Bums

We spent the past week at Indian Rock Beach, Florida.
We had plenty of fun and bumming around, but our fun was not without many learning opportunities.
All three kids enjoyed exploring the ocean water by running in out out, over and over again.
We searched for little, rubber, toy fish in the sand.
Found one!
Aunt Jocelyn helping us observe tiny muscles as they bury into the sand.
Making play-doh imprints with different shells and our rubber fish.
Observing the difference between saltwater, and tap water. Rolling out an 80ft piece of string to see approximately how big a blue whale can get, then running the length of it. Writing in the sand.
We were able to observe plenty of Seagulls, Pelicans, and Sandpipers. Karis liked chasing them on this rainy day.
The best part of the trip was getting to spend time with family: Pre- trip reading with Papa.
Listening and reading with Uncle Jared
The kids met baby Zoey (their cousin) for the first time in Florida.
Asher found a kindred spirit in Uncle Stephen.
Karis and Malachi were thrilled to have their feet buried in the sand by Uncle Isaac.
Waves, sand, sun... couldn't have asked for a better week!
Only by God's grace, another successful week completed!

This sounds like fun! Wish we had been able to get together this week :( Also, LOVE the tape player. Do you know how hard they are to find???

We got the tape player from Cory's parent's attic... Karis loves it, and I am so glad we have it!
