Tell Me A Story Again

We told stories again today using our story cards.

I had both Malachi and Karis pick three cards (without looking) from the deck.
These are the cards Karis picked out of the pile:

This is the story she told:

Bear was at his house.
Chicken came in.
Flowers were dancing.
The trees were growing.
The grass smells like dew.

Here are the cards Malachi  ended up with:

This is the story he told:
Two Pirates named Piggy and Bear Cub
found a Pirate ship and they tied up a princess.

Evidently, Malachi's story telling juice takes a minute to get him going because he told three more stories after this one that were much more creative and detailed... it also helped that I let him look at the cards and pick the pictures he wanted.

Here are the illustrations for just one of the stories he told today (he says this one is his favorite):

The story went like this...

One day there was a little Pirate named Little Bear and He went on his very own sea.  He was sailing away!  And on his way he saw a raccoon walking right by his sea and he tied him up and spanked him.  And on his way he found a treasure chest.  He sailed back home and when he saw a money, a big button right there, he sailed home and, "Mama I tied up a raccoon and spanked him and look what I found right by my treasure chest." "Ooh, that's a button." "Can you sew my button for me?" "Yes!"
THE END
