K,K, King, Keys, Kandy?

Can you guess what letter we studied this week?
Thanks to Aunt Jocelyn, we now have these great sandpaper letters!!
We also made letters with our play-dough.
Karis told me this was a letter "G".
Malachi and Karis made king crowns, but Asher was really the only one to wear them. Hail King Asher!!The favorite math activity was fishing for numbers.
Of course Malachi had to catch every single fish before moving on to the next activity. And Karis had the idea that "Black Little Bear" would want to eat some of the fish, so Malachi and Karis snacked with him. (Yes, Karis really is taking a bite out of poor purple number 2.)
Malachi put our Sandpaper Numbers in order. (Thanks again, Aunt Jocelyn!)
We traced 6 K,K,Keys onto paper (then we had to use the keys to unlock things).
Placing the correct amount of buttons in each numbered slot:
In Science we discovered air pressure. Here, Malachi is trying to blow a tin can over. He and Karis discovered that they can't blow a tin can over, or a book over because their air just goes around the object.
When I asked Malachi why we could blow it over with a balloon, he said, "because all the air goes in one spot" = air pressure!
We recorded our findings by drawing glue lines (with glitter) around pictures of our objects to represent the air that couldn't blow them over.
In geography, we made a map of the area in front of our house. Even Asher participated.
Karis is adding flowers to the flower box in our front yard.
When our map was completed, mommy hid treats outside and marked the spots on our map. Here, Malachi and Karis are studying the map to find the location of the surprises.
Pinpointing the spot:
Success!
Tons of candy right before nap time which never happens= two very happy children!
Only by the grace of God, another successful week completed!

You are doing great! Hang in there. But, I must admit the very last sentence was my favorite. You must have three kids! :)
